Won't be part of PDM until action plan is implemented: Bilawal
He said action plan could not be implemented because there was no consensus among the parties.
CHARSADDA (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Sunday said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is divided and their vision is not clear and his party would not be a part of opposition alliance until the action plan is implemented.
Addressing a press conference flanked by Awami National Party (ANP) senior vice-president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti and other party leaders in Charsadda on Sunday, he said that there is no point rejoining the 10 parties opposition alliance unless and until the action plan is brought back, adding that the action plan could not be implemented because there was no consensus among the parties.
The PPP chairman said, “My grandfather played a role in founding the ANP and we have a political, economic and all kinds of relationship with the ANP.”
Bilawal said that whether it was terrorism or the issue of the rights of the provinces, the PPP and the ANP had worked together. “We will fight against the incumbent government, adding that the two parties will meet on law and order, budget and other issues of the country.”
He said that the performance of the present government in terms of foreign policy was not serious, adding Pakistan can play a role in bringing peace to Afghanistan. “The PPP government had closed the US base after the Salalah Air Base incident,” he said.
Earlier, Bilawal and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah visited Wali Bagh, Charsadda and offer condolences over the death of Begum Naseem Wali Khan.
They offered fateha for rest of the departed soul and prayed for grant of patience to bereaved family members.
ANP senior vice-president Ameer Haider Khan Hoti, central general secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain, provincial president Aimal Wali Khan, Ghulam Ahmed Balour, MPA Samar Haroon Balour and other leaders received the PPP delegation at Wali Bagh.
The PPP chairman lauded efforts and role of late Begum Naseem Wali for strengthening democracy in the country.
PPP delegation include provincial president Hamayun Khan, Nayer Bukhari, Farhatullah Babar, Senator Robina Khalid and other leaders.
Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan also visited at Wali Bagh condolence over the demise of senior ANP leader.
