PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Another doctor in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Wednesday has died of coronavirus.

According to details, Dr Fazal Raheem was under treatment at a hospital for two weeks after contracting the infection. So far, 67 doctors have lost their lives across the province.

On the other hand, Pakistan has reported 104 deaths in the last 24 hours by novel coronavirus as the number of positive cases has surged to 867,446. The nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 19,210.

According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), 2,869 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the past 24 hours.

Punjab remains the worst-hit province in terms of deaths and cases followed by Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

322,117 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Punjab, 294,251 in Sindh, 125,392 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 78,560 in Islamabad, 23,655 in Balochistan, 18,056 in Azad Kashmir and 5,407 in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Pakistan has so far conducted 12,310,875 coronavirus tests and 38,616 in the last 24 hours. 771,692 patients have recovered in the country whereas 4,707 patients are in critical condition.

The COVID Positivity Ratio was recorded at 7.42 percent.
