President Asif Ali Zardari said that the PPP would not tolerate aggressive behavior and such statements were unjustified. He directed the members not to issue provocative statements.The president said that all Muhajirs were Pakistanis and sons of the soil. Any statement that tended to undermine their status as Pakistani nationals or patriotism was unacceptable, he added.Zardari also telephoned Muttahida Qaumi Movement Chief Altaf Hussain and conveyed his regrets over the remarks of Mirza. He maintained that real threat to the country came from the militants and emphasised upon the need to stand united against the enemy. The president said this was time to strengthen democratic political forces, unite the people and build them as a bulwark against militancy and terrorism.
