Punjab govt announces Ramazan Package

The Punjab government has decided to provide flour, ghee, sugar on concession rates during Ramazan.

This was decided in a meeting held under the chairmanship of Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif. The meeting decided that sugar, ghee and flour would be provided to the consumers at open markets and Ramazan bazaars on concession rates under Special Ramazan Package. It was also decided to depute 1,176 magistrates in the province during Ramazan to monitor the prices and quality of the essential commodities.Speaking on the occasion, Shahbaz Sharif said that ‘Ramazan Dastrkhwans’ would be set up at kutchi abadis, hospitals, bus stands, industrial areas and residential colonies of worker to provide free of cost ‘Iftari’ to deserved people.
