People get outraged when justice is not served: Shahid Khaqan
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said NAB is an institution of politics and not accountability.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Friday said the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is an institution of politics and not accountability.
The PML-N leader talked to media and said people get outraged when justice is not served. He said the Supreme Court of Pakistan had declared that the NAB commits political engineering.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said everyone is aware of the purposes behind the NAB cases and the anti-graft body should determine its role in the country. All and sundry should respect courts, he said.
The erstwhile premier went on to say that PM Imran Khan summoned a meeting despite being in isolation and discussed PML-N Vice-president Maryam Nawaz’s NAB hearing.
Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also talked about the Kashmir issue and said no one knows the government’s stance over the matter.
