Workers of Peoples Party will also accompany Maryam Nawaz on March 26 hearing: Kaira
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Qamar Zaman Kaira on Thursday said that National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is being used as a weapon against political opponent of the government.
Talking to media persons along with leaders of PML-N and JUI-F, Qamar Zaman Kaira said that opposition is not against accountability but the law should be implemented on all not just on political opponents. Whatever NAB is doing is not accountability, he added.
The PPP leader announced that workers of Peoples Party will also accompany Maryam Nawaz on March 26 hearing at NAB office and warned that government will be responsible for whatever follows if it tries to stop supporters of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
Kaira also lauded restoration of local bodies system in Punjab by Supreme Court and said that Punjab government unconstitutionally scrapped the system.
On the occasion, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Rana Sanaullah said that political cases against Maryam Nawaz were lodged and warned government against action against workers of opposition parties.
He alleged government of using the anti-graft watchdog for its personal interests and said that now members of PTI know the value of the opposition alliance.
