Karachi retained city district position of July 8, 2011 in Sindh Land Revenue Amendment Ordinance.

Sindh government has issued Land Revenue Amendment Ordinance, 2011. Karachi has retained city district position of July 8, 2011 in the amendment ordinance.However, Hyderabad was given status of division under the previous system comprising of eight districts.According to the notification, Mirpur Khas will be consisted of four districts. Five districts each were included in Sukkur and Larkana divisions.
