PDM steering committee gives nod to indefinite sit-in against Govt
The meeting decided to bring maximum number of workers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, KP and AJK.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) steering committee which met in Islamabad on Thursday gave approval to stage an indefinite sit-in against the incumbent government, Dunya News reported.
According to the sources present in the steering committee meeting, it was decided to name the sit-in as long march while caravans from all over the country will enter Islamabad simultaneously.
According to sources, each party participating in the long march will bear the cost of its workers. It was also decided during the meeting that local organizations of all parties would take care of the bathrooms, food and other arrangements for the participants of the sit-in.
The steering committee also decided to bring maximum number of workers from Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir and surrounding areas for the sit-in.
Sources said that the destination of the long march will be Faizabad or D-Chowk. The decision in this regard will be taken by the planning committee of the PDM. Sources also said that it has been decided that the caravan coming to attend the long march will stage sit-in in the city where the government will stop PDM workers.
