'Parties who agreed on show of hand in Charter of Democracy are now demanding secret balloting'
Shibli Faraz stressed that measures must be taken to eliminate the menace of horse-trading.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Shibli Faraz Thursday said those parties who agreed on show of hand in the Charter of Democracy (CoD) are now demanding secret balloting in the Senate elections.
The minister talked to media in Peshawar and stressed that measures must be taken to eliminate the menace of horse-trading. He thanked Prime Minister Imran Khan for nominating him for the Senate seat.
Shibli Faraz said, “Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) stance is clear, and that is to win all its seats according to votes. I will continue to work at the federal level to solve problems.
“Former governments did nothing for the weak segments of the society. The incumbent regime introduced the Ehsaas program for them. The health sector in Sindh is in bad condition and the federal government is distributing Sehat cards there as well without any discrimination along with Punjab.”
Shibli Faraz also expressed grief over the demise of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Mushahid Ullah Khan.
