Sugar thieves tabling amendment despite lacking numbers: Raja Pervaiz

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to not listen to flatterers.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Raja Pervaiz Ashraf said that ‘sugar thieves’ want to table amendment in the constitution despite lacking numbers in the parliament.

Raja Pervaiz, while addressing National Assembly session, claimed that even members of ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will not vote for their party and even ministers have taken ‘advance’.

He while requesting Deputy Speaker to remove guards from around his dice, said that opposition is peaceful. The PPP leader also complained abusive language used against fellow lawmaker Naveed Qamar for lodging a protest.

The former prime minister urged Prime Minister Imran Khan to not listen to flatterers as such people also caused harmed to Nawaz Sharif, Pervaiz Musharraf and Chaudhry brothers.

The PPP leader alleged that the incumbent government sold Kashmir. He further said that opposition wants to discuss issues of national importance but unfortunately inexperienced government lawmakers are disturbing the environment of the house.

Raja Pervaiz further said that Imran Khan is hesitant to attend the NA session due to attitude of federal ministers and claimed that cabinet members don’t want to pass the legislation.

Recalling previous statements of the PM, he said that Imran Khan used to say that if price of electricity and flour is hiked the incumbent prime minister is a thief.
