Speaker of National Assembly is being pressurized by PM Imran: Shahid Khaqan

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has said that foreigners are taking decisions of the country as one third of the federal cabinet consists of foreign nationals.

Talking to media persons, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that if Senate elections are to be held with show of hand, than elections of National and provincial elections should also be held in a similar way.

He further said that Speaker of National Assembly is being pressurized by Prime Minister Imran Khan and asked Asad Qaiser to resign if he cannot do his job properly. Country cannot function if it is not being ruled as per constitution, he stressed.

The PML-N leader said that there is room for dissent when there is rule of law but here if someone expresses difference of opinion, NAB swings into action. Chairman of the anti-graft watchdog should have resigned by now, he demanded.

Shahid Khaqan alleged that the people living in properties worth billions of rupees and using luxury cars do not pay a single penny in taxes.

He also said that his party has always honored decisions of Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and will continue to do so and reiterated that the 11 party alliance is on same page.
