CM plants sapling in Changa Manga during his surprise visit

LAHORE (Dunya News) - Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar paid a surprise visit to Changa Manga today. The administration was unaware of his visit. He, under tree planting campaign, also planted a sapling in Changa Manga.

Usman Buzdar said that new generations will be given a clean and green Pakistan by planting maximum trees. Changa Manga was badly ignored by the former rulers. The timber mafia had political support in the past. Precious forest lands were grabbed.

He said that the government has taken indiscriminate action against the qabza mafia in Changa Manga. New saplings have been planted in Changa Manga as tree plantation is a national, social and religious obligation.

He termed the 150-year-old artificial forest of Changa Manga as botanical heritage. The Changa Manga is not merely a reserve of trees but also a source of flourishing the wildlife. He stressed that the citizens should actively participate in the tree-planting campaign.
