AJK by-polls to be held on July 20

The AJK Election Commission decided to hold polls for LA-30 Jammu-1 and LA-36 valley-1 on July 20.

The polls were cancelled at both seats due to security reasons in Karachi.According to sources, the AJK Election Commission will make a formal announcement for the by-polls today.The PPP had asked one out of these seats from Karachi.The MQM’s refusal and cancelation of the elections led a split between the MQM and the PPP.Consequently, Sindh Governor Ishratul Ibad had also resigned from the governorship.
