Sheikh Rasheed appointed as federal minister for interior

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – As per major reshuffle in the Federal Cabinet, Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Friday has been appointed as Federal Minister for Interior.

According to details, Azam Khan Swati has been made Federal Minister for Railways while Ijaz Shah will serve as Federal Minister for Narcotics Control from now.

It is to be mentioned here that before the new changes in the cabinet, Sheikh Rasheed was managing his duties as Federal Minister for Railways, Azam Swati was serving as Federal Minister for Narcotics Control and Ijaz Shah was handling the post of Federal Minister for Interior. 

On the other hand, Sh Rasheed met Prime Minister Imran Khan and thanked for believing in him. Both the leaders also discussed matters related to the new portfolio.

Earlier, Advisor to the Prime Minister on Finance Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh had taken oath as federal minister for a period of six months.

President Dr. Arif Alvi administered the oath to Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

Advisor to the PM on Commerce and Investment Abdul Razak Dawood and Special Assistant to PM on National Health Services Dr Faisal Sultan are also likely to be appointed as federal ministers.
