Thermal power plants accords come to end

The agreement of the thermal power plants would come to an end tomorrow.

After this, the plants will have to be operated by diesel.According to sources, government has not yet signed new contracts with gas companies. The plants which have ended their gas agreements include Saif Power, Orient, Safair and Raheel Moor Power Plant.The diesel-oriented power would cost Rs 22 per unit.A summary has been referred to the Federation for new agreements which would be permitted in the meeting of ECC.
