NA Standing Committee on Human Rights has celled tribunal report on Kharotabad incident.
The committee has also asked the interior ministry to make arrangements for immediate life insurance of journalists.The committee met with its chairman Riaz Fityana in the chair. Balochistan IG Rao Amin Hashim briefed the committee on the Kharotabad killing of unarmed Chechen women by security forces. Fityana directed the Balochistan Additional AG to submit the inquiry report in the next session of the committee.Civil Aviation DG Khalid Chaudhry briefed the committee about the Blue Air plane crash in Margalla hills. He said out of the 152 victims, DNA tests of 133 have been done for identifications and the heirs have been paid half a million rupees each. He also said a detailed report had earlier been submitted to the defence minister.The HR Standing Committee expressed serious concern over the killing of Sarfraz Shah by Rangers personnel in Karachi in broad daylight.
