Mian Jaleel Sharaqpuri declares party show cause notice 'illegal'
LAHORE (Dunya News) - Mian Jaleel Sharaqpuri has rejected the show cause notice issued by PML-N, declaring it illegal, as he has never violated the party policy.
In his response to the show cause notice submitted in the party secretariat, it was further stated that the notice sent to him is a violation of the Parties Act, 2002. A political party’s ideology is to promote democracy, not oppress any member, he added.
He said that there was no evidence against him in the notice proving that he had defamed the party. “I, like every Pakistani, have the right to freedom of opinion’, it stated. He opined that he did not insult any member or leader of the party in his statement and it was not intended to harm anyone.
He said that freedom of opinion aside, he never spoke against the party or its policy. Mian Jalil Sharaqpuri also threatened legal action against the party in case the show cause notice is not withdrawn.
