Weather to remain hot and dry in most parts of Pakistan: Met Dept

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - According to the Meteorological Department, hot and dry weather will prevail in most parts of the country, especially Punjab, during the next 24 hours.

However, thunder and light rain is expected in some districts of Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

According to the weather report, even in last 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in most parts of the country with some rain in Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan.

The highest rainfall of 9 mm was recorded in Dir, 6 mm in Darosh, 4 mm in Mir Khani and 1 mm in Kalam, Chitral and Bagrut.

According to the met department, temperature recorded today in Islamabad was 18, Lahore 25, Karachi 27, Peshawar 21, Quetta 12, Gilgit 13 while Murree and Muzaffarabad recorded 15 degrees Celsius temperature.

Forecast says that Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Srinagar is likely to receive thunder and rain while Jammu, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian and Baramulla are expected to be partly cloudy.
