Verdict of Baldia factory fire case to be announced on September 17
KARACHI (Dunya News) – During the hearing of Baldia factory fire case in Anti-terrorism court on Wednesday, the court reserved the case verdict after hearing arguments of lawyers.
The verdict of the case against the tragic incident will be announced on September 17. The court recorded 400 statements from persons named in the case while witnesses revealed extortion of Rs 200 million in court.
MQM had sought a partnership in the factory or Rs 200 million as extortion money. Witnesses testified that Rehman Bhola, an MQM operative, later set the factory on fire killing more than 250 factory workers on 11 September, 2012.
