PM Imran directs to use legal means to bring back Nawaz Sharif

He said focus of the opposition is not on national interest but on getting rid of the Sharifs' cases

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan on Monday while directing to use legal means to bring back former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and that it is the responsibility of the government to bring back those wanted to the courts.

A important meeting was held with PM Imran Khan in chair in which government and party spokespersons participated. During the meeting, the spokespersons were briefed on the legislation.

The meeting also discussed the strategy of the opposition in the current political situation and the steps to be taken to bring back Nawaz Sharif.

According to sources, the prime minister said that it is the responsibility of the government to bring back those wanted by the courts, adding that legal means should be used to bring back the PML-N supremo.

Imran Khan said that the PML-N did politics on Sharif’s health, adding that the government won’t be blackmailed by the opposition.

“The focus of the opposition is not on the national interest but on getting rid of the Sharifs  cases,” he said.

The strategy regarding the approval of FATF laws in the National Assembly was also discussed during the meeting.

The prime minister directed the spokespersons to effectively highlight the improvement in the economic situation of the country and said that the positive outcome of decisions related to the economy have begun to come.

“The focus is now on delivering the benefits of better economic indicators to the people,” he added.
