Sindh government should release K4 water project report to federal government: Asad Umar

KARACHI (Dunya News) - Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar has said while Karachi starve for the water the Sindh government is holding the report of K4 water project and he hoped that Sindh government would soon forward the report to the federal government.

He was talking to mediamen after meeting with Pir Sibghatullah Rashdi along with Governor Sindh Imran Ismail in Karachi today.

Asad Umar said that federal government attaches special importance to development of Sindh and funds have been earmarked for development projects in the province in the federal budget for financial year 2020-21.

The minister said funds have also been earmarked in budget for K-IV project as it is an important project of providing water to the people of Karachi.

To a question Asad Umar said Prime Minister constituted an inquiry commission into sugar scandal and made its report public.

He said over all political situation and matters of bilateral interest were discussed with Pir Sahib Pagara in the meeting.

He said that the Prime Minister represents every part of the country and every language. Those who work for the national interest have stood up despite the pressure.

When questioned about Fawad Chaudhry s interview, Asad Umar said, "I don t know what the Federal Minister for Science and Technology was saying. The current cabinet is very different from the previous ones in which everyone is consulted."
