CJP takes notice of death threats to Justice Qazi Faez Isa

Secretariat Police Station has lodged a case and sent the case to the FIA.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Gulzar Ahmad on Thursday took suo motu notice of death threats to Justice Qazi Faez Isa.

The CJP took suo motu notice from Agha Iftikhar Mirza s video and fixed June 26 (Friday) the date for hearing on the suo motu notice.

In the video, Agha Iftikhar Mirza had made sarcastic remarks against the judges of the apex court and the wife of Justice Qazi Faez Isa had filed a petition on Wednesday regarding the viral video.

On the other hand, the Secretariat Police Station has lodged a case and sent the case to the Federal Investigation Authority (FIA).

The death threat was made in a video via the internet.

Police is of the view that the matters related to internet are not under the jurisdiction of the police and the relevant forum is FIA.
