Justice Isa case was about holding everyone accountable: Farogh Naseem
He said that technically he has won the case
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Former Minister for Law and representative of government in Justice Qazi Faiz Issa case, Barrister Farogh Naseem on Friday said that if we talk about victory or defeat, then maybe I have won the case.
Speaking exclusively in Dunya News program “Dunya Kamran Khan Kay Sath”, he said that the case is just that everyone should be held accountable without any discrimination.
Barrister Farogh Naseem said that the petitioner had prayed the court to quash reference and show-cause notice and no further action be taken.
The former minister said that no one including the federal government is hostile to Justice Qazi Faez Isa and judicial assistance was more important than winning or losing case.
He said that technically they have won the case, adding that Serena Isa, wife of Justice Qazi Faez Isa, had to state that she was not happy despite winning the case.
"There has never been a more painful case for me than this case," he said and added Justice Qazi Faez Isa was a fellow lawyer and he had appeared before him.
Naseem said, “I felt pain when Justice Qazi Faez Isa came to the courtroom, adding that everyone’s accountability is our victory.”
To a question, the government’s lawyer said that the sources and of assets and the method of delivery are called money trail, adding that the money trail of assets makes things legal.
Naseem went on to say that the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) will analyze if the money trail was presented or not, adding that further action will be taken by the SJC in suo motu power.
“Justice Qazi Faez Isa’s wife will have to provide the FBR the things she pointed out in today’s hearing and accuracy money trail will be determined by the FBR and the Supreme Judicial Council,” the former minister added.
