The councils creation would aid investigations of both government and private investigators

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Justice (Retd) Javed Iqbal has suggested the creation of an accreditation council to ensure effective investigations of corruption cases.

The Chairman said that the objective of creating this council is to better equip NAB investigators of carrying out investigations using state of the art technologies. The council’s creation would aid investigations of government and private investigators, he added.

He said that a design for the accreditation council has already been prepared, and it would help investigators in their training as well as overseeing various other matters.

Javed Iqbal said that investigations have been marred by corruption in the country, which has made people lose faith in the state and its system. Legislation on this issue on National level can help rectify this problem, he added.
