Assailants intended to harm, not rob me: Dr. Adnan
Dr. Adnan said that two people suddenly attacked from behind and started beating him
LONDON (Dunya News) - Nawaz Sharif s personal physician Dr. Adnan told the media that the attackers intention was not to rob but to physically harm him saying that two people suddenly attacked from behind and started beating him.
Dr. Adnan said that he uses the same path for evening walks and as the attack happened from behind and he fell, he could not identify the assailants.
He also dismissed the claim that he told the police that his purse had been stolen. He has made it clear to the police that the attackers did not intend to rob him.
He further said that Police have been requested to obtain CCTV footage of the area and investigate the attack.
Nawaz Sharif s personal physician said the attackers continued to beat him for about two minutes; one attacker had an umbrella that he used to hit him with. Had it not been for the passersby who called for help, the attackers would have tortured him even more, Dr. Adnan added.
