Funeral prayer of Colonel Mujeeb-ur-Rehman offered
The dead body of Col. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was shifted to Bunji his native village for burial.
GILGIT (Dunya News) –Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman and hundreds of locals attended the funeral prayer offered in Army Helipad Ground in Gilgit.
Force Commander Northern Areas Major General Ehsan Mehmood Khan led the funeral prayer which was attended by IGP Dr. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and other military and civil officials.
Later, the dead body of Col. Mujeeb-ur-Rehman was shifted to Bunji his native village for burial.
A day earlier, the security personnel conducted an intelligence based operation on terrorist hideout near Tank district. In an exchange of fire with the terrorists, Colonel Mujeeb-ur-Rehman sacrificed his life.
The military’s media wing told that huge cache of weapons and explosives were also recovered while the area has been cordoned off for search operation.
Prime Minister Imran Khan also applauded the successful operation of the security forces against terrorists in Tank and hailed the courage and bravery of Colonel Mujeeb-ur-Rehman.
He said the entire nation acknowledges the sacrifices of the armed forces and security institutions.
