PM Imran transforming Pakistan on the principles of Quaid-e-Azam: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday that Prime Minister Imran Khan has been striving to transform Pakistan on the principles of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah by challenging the status quo and ensuring the rule of the Law.

Speaking at a ceremony in connection with Quaid-e-Azam’s birth anniversary and Christmas in Islamabad, she asserted that PM Imran has been taking measures to eradicate corruption and nepotism from the society.

She said the premier has been taking the country toward stabilisation.

“Imran Khan as a leader carried out a long struggle to bring change in mindset in the country […] the PTI government has laid down a foundation of a new Pakistan by initiating institutional reforms.”

Paying homage to the father of the nation, Dr Awan said the Quaid-e-Azam had made the impossible “possible with his commitment to the cause.”

Acknowledging services of minorities, including the Christian community, for national development, she said minorities played an important role in creation as well as the building of Pakistan.

Speaking on the occasion, Senator Faisal Javed said due to earnest efforts of the government under the leadership of PM Imran Khan, 2020 would prove to be “the year of progress and development.”

He said country’s exports were increasing day by day and the current deficit was shrinking which were positive indicators for the state’s economy. He said their economic team’s reforms agenda has been showing positive results although previous governments left no stone unturned in pushing the country into economic crisis.

Senator Javed said minorities in Pakistan were enjoying their religious freedom while in India they were being deprived from their basic human rights. He said Indian atrocities in the occupied Kashmir have exposed its real face and the world has been reviewing the whole situation.
