Dengue fever claims another life in Karachi
Death toll from dengue fever in Sindh province has reached 36 in the ongoing year.
KARACHI (Dunya News) - One more dengue fever patient died at a private hospital in Karachi on Friday, raising the death toll from the deadly disease to 36 in Sindh province this year, Dunya News reported.
Accordinf to details, 42-yeae-old Muhammad Shahid from Liaquatabad area of Karachi was admitted at a private hospital a few days ago after medical tests proved that dengue virus was present in his blood where he died during treatment.
On the other hand, more than 193 new dengue fever cases were reported in Sindh during the past 24 hours out of which 178 cases were reported in various hospitals of Karachi.
According to sources, at least 4,622 dengue cases surfaced in the Sindh province during the current month out of which 4,217 cases were reported in Karachi alone.
