Operation against miscreants was launched with internal means and the US was never asked for drone attacks.The army spokesman said in 2008-9 even technical support was not sought during operations in Malakand and North Waziristan. This operation was launched depending on Pakistan Army and PAF. WikiLeaks have claimed that Army Chief Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani sought the support of the US drones in 2008.
