Political leaders remember Kashmiris on Eid-ul-Azha

Leaders appealed to celebrate Eid with simplicity in order to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Prominent leaders, belonging to different political parties, on Monday have felicitated Eid-ul-Azha to the masses and appealed them to celebrate this religious festival with simplicity in order to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir.

Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan in her special video message on the occasion said more than one million Kashmiris have been martyred by Indian forces in seventy years.

She said pellet gun may deprive people of eyesight but cannot crush their liberation spirit adding that India has turned Kashmir into world’s biggest jail. 

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who offered Eid prayers in Muzaffarabad, said that the Kashmir issue is on the agenda of United Nations (UN) for many decades. All the parties are on one platform on Kashmir cause, he added.

Meanwhile, after offering prayers in Muzaffarabad, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari expressed harmony with the suffering people of occupied Kashmir and said that Indian move to abrogate the articles is attack on UN.  The PPP chief further assured to raise Kashmir matter on every forum.

Chief Minister of Sindh (CM) Murad Ali Shah said that Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir are unaccepted and assured to not allow the enemy to emerge victorious in its conspiracy.

Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar and Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar offered Eid-ul-Azha prayer at Badshahi Mosque. The prayer was led by the Badshahi Mosque Khateeb Maulana Abdul Khabeer Azad.

Prayer was also offered for the peace, progress and prosperity of the country and for the salvation of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir from the Indian suppression and atrocities
