Punjab government finalises deal for YDA

The Punjab government has finalised a package of Rs 5 billion for young doctors.

The representatives of the Young Doctors Association (YDA), the Pakistan Medical Association and the Pakistan Nurses Association were called to the Chief Minister’s House for giving input on the package.The Punjab government offered a package to young doctors serving under its control based on proposals by a special committee constituted by Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif.The YDA had called off its strike after one month as the government assured doctors that their pay would be raised and service structure would be revised.
