Report declares Moshin Dawar, Ali Wazir responsible for Kharqamar attack
The report revealed that armed men also resorted to firing during the attack.
PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – A report declaring Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leader and Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir responsible for Kharqamar checkpost attack has been sent to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government today (Saturday).
According to details, the report filed by deputy commissioner North Waziristan revealed that armed men also resorted to firing at the checkpost during the incident that injured five Pakistan Army personnel and killed three attackers.
Earlier, Mohsin Dawar was remanded in the custody of the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) for eight days after he was arrested from North Waziristan.
Dawar had reiterated the demands of the banned outfit Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and terrorists, and said that Pakistan Army should vacate Waziristan. He unveiled reason and reality behind the attack on the checkpost.
PTM leader Dr Alam had admitted that party leader Mohsin Dawar led an armed group to storm Kharqamar checkpost in North Waziristan.
On May 26, a group led by Members of the National Assembly (MNA) and Pashtun Tahafuz Movement (PTM) leaders Mohsin Dawar and Ali Wazir had assaulted Kharqamar check post, Boyya, North Waziristan tribal district on Sunday.
They wanted to exert pressure for release of suspected terrorists’ facilitator arrested the other day, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement told.
"Troops at the check-post exercised maximum restraint in the face of provocation and direct firing on the post," the army said.
Later, a soldier embraced martyrdom in an exchange of fire with militants, who attacked Makki Garh checkpost in Shawal valley of North Waziristan. "Terrorists raided Makki Garh Post, Shawal Valley, North Waziristan," ISPR stated.
