Sahiwal incident: JIT report challenged in Supreme Court.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – The Sahiwal incident’s joint investigation team (JIT) report has on Tuesday been challenged in the Supreme Court by victim Khalil’s brother Jalil.

The petitioner took the stance that the JIT report has distorted facts as the investigations are contrary to the truth. The JIT ignored eyewitnesses, videos and other evidences, it has been alleged.

The petition further stated that the weapons used in the shooting were not confiscated along with shells. The plaintiff has requested the apex court to form a judicial commission for the investigation of the incident.

It is worth mentioning here that four people including a woman and a 13-year-old girl were earlier shot dead by the CTD officers in a purportedly high-speed pursuit in Qadirabad area of Sahiwal city.
