ECP cannot disqualify elected member on basis of Fourth Schedule: IHC
The court has announced brief verdict over the plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Tuesday has said that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) cannot disqualify any elected member whose name is included in the Fourth Schedule.
The court has announced brief verdict over the plea filed by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) members Shah Mohammad and Gul Baz Khan.
It is to be mentioned here that ECP had disqualified PTI’s MPA Shah Mohammad from PK-89 and district council member Gul Baz Khan in September 2017.
