Notification of amendment in two clauses 426, 429 of Code of Criminal Procedure (CCP) issued.

Now the law grants statutory bail both under trial prisoners and the convicts whose trials and appeals has not been disposed of within two years.The bill provides special relief to under trial prisoners and they would be entitled to statutory bail if they have been charged with any offence not punishable with death and have been detained for two year. The aim of the bill is to provide special relief to prisoners.
