ECP to conduct elections in PK-100 to PK-115 constituences after FATA's merger

PESHAWAR (Dunya News) – The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to hold fresh elections in the new provincial constituencies of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) in the last week of June.

Sources familiar with the matter told the media that armed forces will be deployed in the provincial constituencies from PK-100 to PK-115 for security and preventing any untoward incident during polling process.

For preparation of the results, the Result Transmission System (RTS) will be used.

The full schedule of the elections will be issued in the last week of April. This will be the first election in the region after merging of former FATA region into KP, and in this regard, electoral lists have been revised by the ECP for the merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

According to a spokesperson, updated lists covering more than 26 million voters were provided to all relevant districts.

Voters from PK-100 to PK-115 constituencies can text message their CNIC on 8300 to know about registration of their votes.

A voter would be required to submit Form No 21 for the registration and transfer of the polling station at the office of the concerned District Election Commissioner or Registration Officer.

All office details and Form No 21 can also be obtained from the ECP website www.ecp.gov.pk.
