LAHORE (Dunya News) – Former premier Nawaz Sharif on Monday arrived at Sharif Medical City Hospital in Lahore where a team of doctors from Karachi’s Aga Khan University Hospital further examined his health condition.

The doctors also reviewed his medical test reports and advised him regarding the future course of action for his treatment.
Dr Adnan told the media that Sharif’s might need to undergo another bypass surgery.

According to details, Nawaz Sharif is suffering from diseases of cardiac, kidneys, sugar and low-blood circulation to brain.

On March 30, physicians had prescribed monitoring his heartbeat by fixing a Holter at his chest the next week besides carrying out echo test.

Nawaz Sharif’s health is considered to be in sensitive condition and he remains under observation of doctors at home despite not being admitted to the hospital. Furthermore, a pacemaker will have to be permanently implanted to stabilise his heartbeat and cardiology intervention is also required.

Dr Adnan had said that no timeline could be provided regarding the implantation of pacemaker as other issues were also being considered. No roadmap of his treatment could have been determined yet.

Nawaz, who was released from Kot Lakhpat Jail in March after the Supreme Court granted him six-week bail for obtaining medical treatment, has been undergoing treatment at Sharif Medical City Hospital.
