Dr Asim Hussain will have the status of federal minister.

Senator Dr Asim Hussain has been appointed as Advisor to Prime Minister on Petroleum and Natural Resources.According to President’s Spokesperson Farhatullah Babar, Dr Asim Hussain will have the status of federal minister.It is pertinent to mention here, Dr Asim elected senator unopposed on a vacant seat from Sindh on the nomination of the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP). Earlier, he has served as adviser to the prime minister on petroleum and he is a close friend of President Asif Ali Zardari.
