Heavy snowfall sees closure of National Highway
National Highway at Mansehra, Naran and Kaghan has been closed for traffic.
ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Northern areas of Pakistan lashed by heavy snowfall causing closure of sections of motorway and National Highway today.
Following heavy snowfall Shogran, Naran, Kaghan, Gilgit-Baltistan, Azad Kashmir, Swat and some areas of Balochistan have all been blanketed by snow Sunday morning.
National Highway at Mansehra, Naran, Kaghan, Wadi Saran and Parachinar has been closed for traffic due to the snow.
On the other hand, cold and dry weather is expected in most parts, while very cold weather in northern parts of the country. Frost is also expected in upper parts of the country during morning hours.
The Motorway police have advised the drivers to switch on fog lights while driving at very slow speed as the visibility was dropped to zero metres due to dense fog.
The Motorway police have also requested the people to stay home and avoid unnecessary travelling as visibility was down to zero metres due to heavy fog.
