The strike called off keeping view consumers problems, says Piracha.
Addressing a press conference, the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Association President Ghias Piracha said that the association had decided to end the strike keeping in view the problems of consumers. Earlier, the owners of the CNG and workers staged a protest demonstration on The Mall against the gas load shedding. On the other hand, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has called a meeting of the gas load management committee to discuss the issue. In Lahore, the CNG stations observed partial strike as more CNG stations were remained open. The gas supply to more than 300 CNG stations of Multan region has been suspended and the CNG stations of Faisalabad regions are remained closed on the second day. The CNG stations of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and other cities remained closed on Thursday.
