Lahore: LHC directs to end encroachments within 24 hours

LAHORE (Dunya News) – Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday has directed to end illegal settlements on Lahore’s Mall Road, Shah Alam Market and adjoining areas of Data Darbar with immediate effect. 

Hearing petition filed by a citizen against illegal encroachments, Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi has directed town administration to end encroachments within 24 hours.

As the hearing went underway, Lahore Deputy Commissioner (DC) Saleh Saeed appeared before the court. LHC ordered DC to launch indiscriminate antia-encroachment drive and implement orders of the court in true letter and spirits.

LHC also directed DC to restore all roads in their primordial state.
