Harbanspura residents' protest hampers anti encroachment grand operation
Grand operation against encroachments is underway across province in order to curb land mafia.
LAHORE (Dunya News) – Following the protest staged by the locals of the Harbanspura on Wednesday, district authorities have stopped the grand operation against encroachments underway across the province in order to curb the land mafia and illegal occupation of the buildings.
The residents of Harbanspura staged protest and raised slogans against the operation to demolish the illegal buildings that has entered the second day today.
As the situation became intense, police contingent were called in to control the agitating mob. However, the district authorities announced to stop the operation in the area to knock down the illegal building.
Meanwhile, a team lead by LDA DG Amna Imran Khan also launched an anti encroachment operation and retrieved 50 kanal from land grabbers in Sabzazar, Sherakot areas.
