Liquor recovery case: Sharjeel Memon to undergo DNA test

KARACHI (Dunya News) – In bid to solve the mystery shrouding recovery of liquor bottles, investigation officials have decided to carry out Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) test of Sharjeel Memon, well-informed sources told Dunya News.


As per details acquired, the decision has been taken after refusal of Agha Khan Hospital to verify blood samples of senior Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader.

The hospital administration stated blood samples were forwarded to them by Ziauddin Hospital.

“We don’t know whether blood samples have been extracted from veins of Sharjeel Memon or anybody else. Nobody here at Agha Khan Hospital had extracted blood from vein of Sharjeel Memon for alcohol test”, revealed hospital administration.

Agha Khan Hospital’s administration went on to say that they had received blood samples for alcohol test at 12:03 PM on Saturday. Administration said, “As per rules define, the sample was immediately forwarded to laboratory for blood test”.
