According to the spokesperson of the presidency Farhatullah Babar, President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned Maulana Fazalur Rahman and condemned the attack on his convoy and prayed for those who lost their lives. The President said that it was his conviction that the perpetrators of the crime will face justice in the fullness of time even if they appeared to have escaped retribution for some time.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani also rang-up Maulana Fazalur Rehman and strongly condemned the attacks on his convoys.He assured Fazalur Rehman of appropriate security measures for his safety. The Prime Minister apprised him that he has already directed the Ministry of Interior to investigate the incidents and submit report.
