Spokesperson says Ismail was asked to "wait for two minutes".

KARACHI (Dunya News) – The spokesperson for the Mazar-e-Quaid board Tuesday categorically denied the reports that PTI Sindh governor-designate Imran Ismail was stopped from entering the mausoleum.

The spokesperson said the management had received approval for 10 personalities and delegations to place floral wreaths on the grave of the Quaid.

The first delegation paid their visit at about 10am while the last paid their respects at 12:15pm, he said, adding that Ismail was asked to “wait for two minutes” as convoy of the former chief minister was leaving the premises.

“He (Ismail) got angry and refused to come. No written request from Imran Ismail was received to place floral wreaths.”

The PTI Sindh governor-designate was reportedly denied entry due to the protocal of former chief minister Murad Ali Shah.

The delegation returned after paying their respects from outside the gate.
