PTI to formally announce Imran Khan as nominee for PM's slot today

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) will formally nominate party’s supremo Imran Khan as their candidate for next premier of Pakistan today.

As per details garnered, a parliamentary meeting in this regard has been summoned at a private hotel in Islamabad.

PTI spokesperson Fawad Chaudhry told media all MNAs-elect have been directed to make their presence compulsory at the meeting. “Imran Khan will be formally announced as the party’s nominee for premier during the meeting,” Chaudhry said.

He said names of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will also be discussed in the meeting.

Chaudhry added that PTI’s tally in the lower house of parliament has soared to 125 following inclusion of independent candidates.

“Allies and reserved seats will take the PTI tally to 174 seats in NA”, he added.

Fawad Chaudhry hoped that PTI will get support from Balochistan National Party (Mengal) and its total numbers in the National Assembly would reach one hundred seventy seven.
