(WebDesk) – After all the drama that surfaced on 6 July, Ex-Prime Minister, Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, are likely to be arrested as soon as their aircraft lands today at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in Lahore. The Pakistani interim government has announced a series of actions that will be taken to ensure that the PML N workers, supporters and leadership fail to receive their leaders and refrain from causing chaos in the state.

Both the members of the Sharif family are reportedly to be arrested at the runway of the Lahore airport as soon as their aircraft lands around 6:15pm on Friday

The government of Pakistan has reportedly appointed nearly 10,000 police officers on duty in and around the airport. They have also ordered mobile phones to be shut from 3pm to 12am as measures to prevent locals from receiving the former Prime Minister

Both Nawaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz were sentenced to Jail for 10 and 7 years respectively after the court declared the father-daughter duo as convicts in the Avenfield Reference Case
