SC annuls notification regarding use of luxury cars

The CJP has also asked Sindh Advocate General how many luxury cars they have recovered so far.
KARACHI (Dunya News) – Supreme Court (SC) on Wednesday has annulled notification regarding use of luxury cars.
During a hearing headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar, the court has directed to club the petitions filed from all the provinces in Islamabad.
The CJP has also asked Sindh Advocate General how many luxury cars they have recovered so far.
Earlier, SC had directed Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Fazlur Rehman, Kamran Michael and Senator Molana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri to appear in personal capacity in luxury cars case.
CJP Mian Saqib Nisar had also ordered candidates participating in general elections to not use official bullet proof cars for campaigns.
Additional Attorney General had submitted details of cars given to the officials working in federal cabinet and other government departments.
The top judge had clarified that money will be taken from those who bought these vehicles contrary to the law.
