Javed Hashmi submits nomination papers from NA-155, NA-158
He submitted nomination papers on the orders of party leadership
MULTAN (Dunya News) – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior leader Makhdoom Javed Hashmi on Monday submitted his nomination papers from NA-155 and NA-158 constituency.
Talking to media after submitting his nomination papers, he said that he submitted nomination papers on the orders of party leadership.
On the other hand, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) leader and former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had also submitted his nomination papers from NA-158, however, Javed Hashmi would contesting election in NA-155 against PTI’s Amir Dogar.
It is pertinent here to mention that the senior PML-N leader had announced not to contest general election and said that he would only support his party in the forthcoming elections.
Hashmi had vowed to efficaciously carrying out whatever responsibilities that party would assign him. Hashmi has not filed nomination papers with Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).
He went on to say that he would fully participate in PML-N’s electoral campaign. He said, “I have informed party’s leaders Sheikh Tariq and Rafique Rajwana about my decision of not contesting elections”.
