PTV Corruption Case: Non-bailable arrest warrant of Dr Shahid Masood issued

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Senior Civil Judge Amir Aziz has issued non-bailable arrest warrant of senior TV Anchor Person Dr Shahid Masood today (Friday) in a case pertaining to alleged corruption in PTV.

On the request of Kashif Awan - an investigation officer in the Federal Investigation Agency – Senior Judge has released non-bailable arrest warrant of DrShahid Masood who had remained Managing Director in the state television during Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) tenure.

However, source privy to FIA told that Dr Shahid Masood as MD PTV was involved in corruption of Rs380 million; furthermore, as PTV chairman he signedagreement with fake companies for the acquisition of media rights of Cricket Board.

The accused anchor person, nevertheless, had been summoned many times to join investigation team but he deliberately avoided to join investigation team.
